We all have some old servers that we forget about, until they crash. When that happens you’ll most likely have to connect to the server’s KVM and when it’s an old ILO 100, prepare for trouble! They happen to get stuck somehow but before restarting everything electrically, you’d like to have a look at the console. Here’s something you can try. Oh, and this trick also works when you browser rejects it.

Get a copy of M2.JAR, it is included in every ILO 100 at http://iloaddress/M2.JAR (mind the case) and then just execute it:

java -jar M2.JAR

And follow instructions.
